Hey, I'm Jess. I've been in your shoes as a candidate trying against seemingly impossible odds to get hired into a professional fire service career in Ontario. I started this company because during my journey I realized that there are people who can help, people who are 'in the know' who can make all the difference. It took me a lot of trial and error to decipher the code to success, but once I did, I was landing opportunity after opportunity. In the end I was able to decline offers and land the perfect department for me.
When I decided to pursue fire, I went all in. I quit my successful career in major retail corporate sales, took out savings to go back to school and solely devoted myself to becoming the best candidate possible. My daily life became a grind; spending all my time studying, building my fitness and strength, attending calls as a volunteer firefighter and making as many connections as possible. I accumulated material from every and any resource I could get my hands on. My goal is to help those who are struggling to crack the code. If you're passionate about the fire service, if you are eager for this career, and most importantly if you are willing to put in the work, then I would love to help you achieve your goal through mentorship and coaching programs.
In my previous 8 year corporate career in Communication, Sales and Marketing with the largest food and beverage company in the world, I had access to and was trained by some of the best communication and sales experts out there. This has provided me with the unique ability to coach people to execute interviews effectively and easily under pressure. I come to you as a passionate professional firefighter from the floor, but also a corporate professional with an in-depth understanding of hiring processes, core competencies required for this job and how best to represent yourself and your talents in front of those who make the decisions.
If you're ready to make this your year, I'd love to chat.
Stay safe and all the best,
Jess
